Cotton Fabric
Cotton Fabric

Because the cotton fabric unravel when I soak it in apple juice?
I did an experiment in which cotton cloth soaked in apple juice. Able 3 days, some of the cotton fabric unravels. I do not understand why. The fabric is 100% cotton (cellulose). Orange juice, apple juice 100%. *** In about 3 days
My most plausible? Natural sugars and acids in apple juice slowly break down the fibers of the fabric. The cotton fabric after all, is not that cotton fibers, very tightly twisted and woven together. So that the liquid and its chemical causes the fabric to loosen and then the threads to untangle. Have you tried this experiment with other liquids? Or other tissues?
