What type of epoxy or I can use to fix my part scunsi steam?
I have a steam engine model SS1100 scunsi think. The allocation clothing steam is partially broken neck. Apparently, cooperation. no longer exists, if you have to repair. I tried fixing with Loctite Extreme Repair as recommended by Canadian Tire, but it is a substrate of silicon and plastic does not bind at all - bad advice! I called Loctite Industrial Division, which suggested an epoxy # 81120, however, is difficult because I do not know what type of plastic that is made of. Also the nearest dealer is at least 80 miles from my position. I try to epoxy, but I no idea which one to use. The play will be exposed to heat and water / steam. Can anyone help me solve this problem at all?
Without knowing the type of plastic that no response is a guess. It is likely that any epoxy will work. You need to "weld" the pieces. For example - Lines of PVC water and sewer ABS that are "stuck" are in reality soldiers - the special glue used actually chemically "melt" the surface of the pipe and fitting. When the connection is "dry" the Both parties have become a physical part. I think Steam is that the body is probably ABS, PVC or CPVC. All hardware will be a "universal" solvent-free glue (in a small box with a brush applicator) used to "weld" the three types of plastic pipes - give it a try. To do the repair - check first alignment parts - the glue dries quickly and should therefore be sure how it goes hand in hand. Use surgical gloves - as the surface layer each item and enter until the company - it will take at least 5 minutes keeping the pressure before the release and for several hours to completely solidify. If you can devise a way to clamp parts together would be best. Think of strapping tape as a necklace too.
