how strong is silver?
i have a simple little silver charm i wear on a chain. i don't wear it every single day of the year, but wear it often. i'd be sad ito loose it.
my friend just lost her pendant that she wore everyday because the loop on the top holding it on broke.
it got me thinking, how strong is silver? I always thought it was pretty sturdy, but is it likely to break if i'm not very careful? will it hold up to everyday wear?
my charm has a little stem and then a loop for the chain welded to the top, but again it seems pretty sturdy. is it really likely to bend or break there? the charm is small, but it's solid, so it has a little bit of weight to it.
just wondering. thanks everyone!
it probably got pulled from her to break like that, maybe snagged when she changed shirts or on a book bag or something.
silver is soft for a metal, and it depends on how thick the clasp is
the weight of the pendant wouldn't be enough to break the clasp, and if you are careful it should last for your lifetime at least.
